Storm Sweater: a Flurry of Texture

This was supposed to be my brain-break sweater, but it broke my brain instead.

Having finished two of the most complex sweaters I’ve ever made back-to-back, I feel like I could fight a god and win.

Last weekend was steeped in friendship, laughter, creativity, and immaculate vibes in Bittern Lake, Alberta at the Rebel Hearts crafting retreat.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Stephen West, it’s that the man loves an “-along.”

It was only a matter of time before I got brave enough to make something entirely from scratch.

Since April, my brain has been wholly and happily occupied by thoughts of magic, 20-sided dice, and words with far too many apostrophes.

In spite of the mayhem, I’ve still found time for knitting.

I never thought I’d bear a grudge against a pair of pants.

I think I just made the most autumnal sweater of all time (just in time for autumn to end).

Trivia is my love language, and the fibre arts are no exception.
